Emelie M. Rogers, 83

Boylston - Emelie M. Rogers, 83, of Main Street, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at University Commons in Worcester after an illness.

She leaves her twin sister, Nellie Rogers; her nephew, Philip Rogers and his wife, Janet; her grandnephew, Andrew Rogers; and her grandnieces, Elizabeth French, Jennifer Rogers and Sarah Rogers.

Born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Lillian (Falby) Rogers Sr., she had lived in Boylston since 1955. She was a 1942 graduate of Northborough High School and a member of the alumni association.

Miss Rogers worked as a legal secretary at Bowditch and Dewey LLP in Worcester. She loved theater, cats and Ogunquit, Maine, and was an avid reader. Although she never had children of her own, her spirit lives on in her nephew, grandnieces and grandnephew.

Funeral services were held Jan. 23 from Hays Funeral Home of Northborough, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Residents Activity Fund, University Commons, 378 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
