Margaret Silva, 97

Falmouth - Margaret (Santella) Silva, 97, formerly of Hudson, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at the Royal Megansett Nursing and Retirement Home in North Falmouth. She was the wife of the late Joseph Silva for 60 years until his death in 1994.

She leaves her son, Charles Silva, and her daughter-inlaw, Eleanor (Kelleher) Silva; her grandchildren, Mary Silva Doctor, Charles Silva Jr., Matthew Silva, Mark Silva and Jane Depp; and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Born May 2, 1910 in Marlborough, she was the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth

Disimone) Silva.

Mrs. Silva was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson and of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Hudson. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was also an avid bingo player.

A funeral mass was celebrated Jan. 21 from St. Michael's Church in Hudson, with burial at St. Michael's Cemetery. The Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Cape Cod Senior Residences, 100 Dr. Julius Kelly Lane, Pocasset, MA 02559.
