Local students dominate Faux Finish Competition

Region – Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School students (front, l to r) Danielle Higgins, Marlborough; Hailee French and Liz Tisdell, Shrewsbury; Rebeka Liseno, West Boylston; Erin Moore, Clinton; (back, l to r) Lillian Ryberg, Brittany Potter, and Stacy Reid, all from Marlborough; Julia Walsh and Jordan Chila, Boylston; Mike Donahue, instructor; Heather Durand, Shrewsbury; and Chelsea Taylor, Holly Arsenault, Tonya Ferber, and Tosya Ferber, from Marlborough, recently brought home nine first-, second- and third-place ribbons, along with eight honorable mention ribbons. The students won the accolades at the Faux Finish Competition of the 12th Annual New England Council Painting and Decorating Contractors of America's recent Convention and Expo, held in Northampton.

Winners not pictured are Luiza Valerio and Cesar Argueta from Marlborough.
