Olympic scarecrow display takes first place

Shrewsbury – The winning scarecrow in this year's "Scarecrows on the Common" competition, held throughout October in conjunction with the annual Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival was a tribute to the 2008 Olympic Games. It was designed and built by Shrewsbury Brownie Troop 423, led by Susan Lucier and Sarah Fredereck.
