Price increases tough to swallow

Northborough/Southborough – The Northborough-Southborough Regional School Committee recently voted to raise the price of school lunches in the Algonquin Regional school cafeteria. School officials cited the rising cost of food and labor as cause for the increases.

Despite the increase to $2.50, student lunches at the school still cost less than schools in several surrounding towns, including Shrewsbury and Westborough high schools, where lunches cost $3.
