Shrewsbury Housing Authority debuts new website

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Housing Authority (SHA) has launched a website in an eff ort to provide information in a more efficien t an d up-to-date way to the community. Mary Jordalen, chair of the Housing Authority, who is seeking reelection, spoke about the new site April 22 at the candidates’ forum at Shrewsbury Town Hall. Jordalen said the site features news and information for residents of SHA units, as well as people interested in becoming residents.

Photo galleries of apartments on SHA properties are posted, giving people a look at the interior of residences at Francis Gardens, Elizabeth Gardens, and Shrewsbury Tower, she said.

“The pictures are important,” Jordalen said. “Because without the pictures you can’t see the inside of an apartment. You can’t go in because they are occupied.”

The new website, at www. shrewsburyha.org, also has links to applications necessary for applying for housing, as well as information about waiting lists for SHA properties.
