Northborough – Mary A. McCarthy, 93, formerly of Riley Road, died Wednesday Feb. 9, 2011, at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. She leaves her husband, Andrew McCarthy of Notre Dame du Lac.
Born in Boston, the daughter of John and Mary McDonough, she had lived in Northborough for over 40 years.
Mrs. McCarthy worked many years as an LPN at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester and Grangers Nursing Home in Northborough. For many years, she was an active parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff and residents at Notre Dame Du Lac and Patty Sweet for their loving care and friendship.
Her funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 11 at Notre Dame du Lac, with burial in Howard Street Cemetery of Northborough. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
