Northborough – Richard “Rick” J. Santucci, 74, died Monday Feb. 14, 2011 at UMass Memorial Hospital University Campus after heart complications.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Marianne (Donaghue) Santucci; his son, Rick Santucci of Worcester; two daughters, Stephanie Santucci Silva of Worcester and Jill Santucci of Hudson; one sister, Anne Hatsell of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and a niece, Maureen Cronin of Quincy. He is predeceased by his grandson, Brandon Santucci, who died in 2001.
Born and raised in Newton, he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Santucci worked at Raytheon Corporation in Wayland as an electronic engineer for 38 years. In his spare time, he loved to travel.
Calling hours are Thursday Feb. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Mr. Santucci's funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday Feb. 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima, 244 Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard St. Cemetery.
