Westborough – The Westborough Warriors (5th grade Girls B) and their coaches celebrate their victory March 6. Marisa Papagelis, Sarissa Volin, Brooke Kotopoulos, Emily Burneson, Juliana LeBlanc, Erica Ross, Cassidy Sams, Julia Danielson, Allison Miller, Caroline Thibault and Abby Burger are coached by David Volin and Don LeBlanc. The team rallied to win the Metrowest League Tournament at Mass Premier Courts in Foxborough. Victories over North Attleborough and Dover-Sherborn in earlier rounds were capped by a dominant defensive effort in the finals against Franklin. In the last game, the Warriors held the Franklin team to a single field goal and won, 24-7.
