Auburn – Wilfred J. Scott, Sr., 97, of Marlborough and formerly of Auburn, died Saturday June 25, 2011, at the UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, following a brief illness. His wife, Anna J. (Finn) Scott, died in 1994.
He leaves his two sons, Wilfred J. Scott Jr. of Marlborough, with whom he lived, and Steven P. Scott and his wife Sue of Auburn; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Christopher, Timothy and Kimberlyn; his nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, the son of the late William and Elizabeth V. (Cutting) Scott, he was raised in Rochdale and then lived many years in Auburn before moving to Marlborough.
Mr. Scott retired from the former Olson Manufacturing Company in Holden, where he was a machinist for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Wilfred family Wednesday June 29, from 10 to 11 a.m., in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn.
