Southborough – Richard A. Castelda, 77, formerly of Utica, N.Y., died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at MetroWest Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (Couzen) Castelda for the past 51 years.

Born in Utica, N.Y., he was the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Dombrawski) Castelda.

Mr. Castelda was an insurance agent working in the Utica, N.Y. area until he retired 14 years ago and moved to Massachusetts with his wife, where he would be closer to his children and their families. He was a member of St. Anne Church of Southborough and a Trustee for Southborough Meadows. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Castelda and her husband Mark Kelleher of Natick and Tracy Sheth and her husband Mahesh of Ashland; his grandchildren, Maryeliz, Julianne and Alex Kelleher; Devan and Derek Sheth; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Jan. 30, at 12:30 p.m., at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough.
