MetroWest Arthritis Walk kick-off celebrationFramingham – Join your fellow MetroWest area residents to help walk for a cure. The Arthritis Foundation is hosting the 2012 MetroWest Arthritis Walk Kick-Off Celebration Thursday, March 8. The kick-off will be held at Uno's, 70 Worcester Rd. (on Route 9, across from Shoppers World), Framingham.

“Arthritis affects 1.2 million adults and 5,900 children in Massachusetts,” said Walk Co-Chair Elise Marcil. “The Walk is a great opportunity for members of the MetroWest community to help support the Arthritis Foundation in their mission to prevent, control and cure the over 100 types of arthritis and related diseases.”

The Walk will be held Sunday, May 6, at the Natick Town Common in Natick. Participants will have a choice of a one-mile or three-mile route followed by a party featuring food, music, dancing and children's activities–fun for the entire family! At the event participants can network with others dealing with the challenges of arthritis, obtain helpful resources from the Arthritis Foundation staff, and sign up to be Arthritis Foundation advocates.
