Shrewsbury – Drucilla B. (Butler) O’Brien, 94, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center of Northborough. She lived totally independently in her own condominium until March of this year, when she became ill.
She was born in Prue, Oklahoma, daughter of Jesse M. and Emily F. (Baker) Butler. She was one of nine children. She was a remarkably independent woman that left this world on Independence Day.
She was married to George Mason (predeceased) with whom she had two daughters, Marilyn LeStage of Cumberland, R.I. and Carol Geoffroy of Hudson. She then married David O’Brien (predeceased), who had two sons, Sherman O’Brien of Fairfax, Va. and Craig O’Brien of North Oxford. In addition to her children, she leaves five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Boots Benson of Spring, Texas.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Howard C. Allen Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
