The Boxcar Lilies bring heavenly harmonies to new concert series

Westborough – Modern folk trio The Boxcar Lilies will perform at The Borroughs JCC Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:45 p.m.), as part of Westborough's new Community Folk Series. The collaboration between the Boroughs JCC and Sally Johnson Presents was formed to foster community through concerts, workshops, and programs for kids.

The Boxcar Lilies are Jenny Goodspeed, Stephanie Marshall, and Katie Clarke – three singer-songwriters that met through a local musicians” cooperative and, despite having different musical backgrounds and tastes, discovered a shared passion for three-part harmony.

Accompanying themselves on guitar, clawhammer banjo, concert ukulele, and washboard, the Western Massachusetts-based group is becoming increasingly well-known for wowing audiences with their standout marriage of superb songwriting and innovative harmonies.

The Community Folk Series is located at The Burroughs JCC, 45 Oak St., Westborough. Admission is $12.50 in advance and $15.00 at the door. For reservations, which are recommended, or information, call 508-735-0151 or email folksally@gmail.com.
