Marlborough – Gloria “Monica” (Medeiros) Oram, 77, died unexpectedly Saturday night, Sept. 29, 2012 after being stricken ill at home.? She was born in Hudson, the daughter of the late August and Gloria (Costodio) Medeiros, and moved to Marlborough with her family in 1967.

Mrs. Oram worked as a bookkeeper and cashier for the Raytheon Corp. in Sudbury for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a longtime member of Saint Michel's Parish in Hudson, where she was a member of the St. Michael's Holy Ghost Society. She was also a longtime member of the Marlborough Moose Lodge #1129.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Oram and his wife Cathy of Marlborough and Michael Oram of E. Hartford, CT; two brothers, Edward Medeiros of Marlborough and Arthur Medeiros of Hudson; four grandchildren, Andrea, Allyson, Stephen, and Brian; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 9:00 a.m., in St. Michael's Church, 20 High St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
