Shrewsbury Lions Club golf tournament to benefit Usher SyndromeShrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Lions Club will be hosting a golf tournament Saturday, Oct. 20 at Juniper Hills Riverside Golf Course, 202 Brigham St., Northborough.

Part of the day's proceeds will go to benefit research for ?”Usher Syndrome,” ?a rare disease that affects both hearing and vision, primarily in adolescent children, that gets progressively worse with age. Profits from the tournament will also be donated to local charities the Lions support.

The cost to play is $100 per player and $400 per foursome. The tournament will be a scramble format (not a shotgun start); tee times will start at 9 a.m.

After the tournament a barbeque will be held with raffles, contests with prizes and more.
