Westborough man charged with larceny

Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this morning:

On Saturday, October 27th, at approximately 7:33 AM, the Westborough Police Department received a call from 134 South St. for larcenies from two separate motor vehicles. The owners of the vehicle reported that the vehicles were left unlocked overnight. One vehicle had numerous credit cards stolen from inside while the second vehicle had a coat stolen. On the ground outside the vehicles a wallet with identification inside was located. The owner of the wallet lives at 8 E. Main St. Westborough.

At 8:09 AM, a second call was received regarding a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle. This one was from 23 School St. which is near the first call. Taken from this vehicle was a wallet, keys, GPS device and cash.

On 10/30/12, David F. Thomson, age 28 of 8 E. Main St. Westborough came to the station inquiring about his lost wallet. This is the same wallet that was located at the scene of the South St. break.

After being interviewed by Det. Gary Hassett and Det. Steven Tompkins, Thomson is being charged with 3 counts of larceny from a motor vehicle. He will be arraigned at WDC at a later date.

  2. Yes, Tracy, parked on private property. Unlocked is not an invitation to browse and take what you’d like.
