Framingham – On Sunday, Dec. 2, the Metrowest Symphony Orchestra, under music director Peter Cokkinias, will present a holiday concert featuring future Broadway star Aubin Wise and MSO principal cellist Seth McLeod as soloists. The concert starts at 3 p.m. in the Joseph P. Keefe Technical School auditorium in Framingham.

The overture to Hansel & Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck, Christmas carols, Hanukah songs, perennial favorites Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson, and Saint-Saens’ Allegro appassionato for cello and orchestra will complete the program. And, there is a rumor that the Grinch might make an appearance!

Aubin Wise is on her way to Broadway with singing, acting, and dance credits, including roles in Ragtime, Chicago, Bat Boy, Rent, Aida, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Into The Woods, Hair, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has appeared with the Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart and with numerous Boston-area and California theater companies.

Currently a student at Berklee College of Music, Wise looks forward to moving to New York to pursue a career in musical theater. She will sing Chistmas standards, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and I’ll be Home for Christmas with the MSO.

Metrowest Symphony Orchestra is fortunate to have Seth McLeod as principal cellist. A recent graduate of Boston University (master's degree) and resident of Belmont, he is a young professional on his way to a great career.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors, and free for children under 12. They are available at www.metrowestsymphony.org and at the door.
