The C.A. six tips of the day for Nov. 30

Region – Today is Friday, Nov. 30, the 335th day of 2012.

On this day in 1982, the album “Thriller” was released by Michael Jackson.

On this day in 2004, Jeopardy!'s all-time champion, Ken Jennings, finally lost, after a record 74 wins.

And on this day in 1995, Operation Desert Storm officially was declared ended.

Today's birthdays – Mark Twain (1835); Dick Clark (1929); and Billy Idol (1955).

Here are six tips for the day -

1. The Assabet Valley Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring its annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.

2. The Congregational Church of Westborough will be holding a Holiday Fair on Saturday, Dec. 1.

3. The 10th annual Hudson Downtown Stroll will be held Dec.1, from 2 to 8 p.m., and features fun family activities and great holiday deals in Hudson's downtown area.

4. Santa is taking some time out of his busy schedule to visit Hebert's Candies in Shrewsbury this Saturday, Dec. 1.

5.? On Sunday, Dec. 2 the Westborough Merchants Holiday Stroll will be held from 12 to 6 p.m. Most of the merchants are located in the downtown/rotary area. For more information go to -

6. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) presents Tea with Clara, a family-friendly holiday event, Sunday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the school's new satellite facility in downtown Hudson.
