Shrewsbury Firefighter's Association fundraiser will benefit community groups

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Firefighter's Association is currently in the midst of a fundraising campaign to help raise monies for local community groups.

As they have for the last several years, representatives of the company All Pro will be making phone calls to residents on behalf of the association.

Sean? Bohdiewicz, the treasurer of Shrewsbury Firefighter's Association Local 4613 said that residents can feel assured that the calls are legitimate.

“These calls are not a scam,” he said. “A portion of the proceeds will go to the Firefighter's Association which will then be used to support programs throughout the community.”

One past example, he noted, was monies donated towards a new van for the town's senior center.

Residents interested in donating, may do so over the phone, or in person at any of the three stations in town located at: Fire Headquarters, 11 Church Rd.; Station 2, 11 Harrington Ave.; and Station 3, 20 Centech Blvd.

Those who donate funds of any amount will receive four tickets to the annual Firefighters basketball game versus the Harlem Superstars to be held Sunday, March 17 at Shrewsbury High School.

Anyone with questions or concerns may call the Fire Department headquarters at 508-841-8522.
