Eight arrested after protest at Westborough business

Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this afternoon:

On 1/7/13, at approximately 2:08 PM, the Westborough Police Department responded to 110 Turnpike Rd. to a company called Transcor Canada for a protest inside the office area. The arriving units located 8 individuals who had chained themselves together at the ankles and waists. They had also super glued their hands together.

A locksmith was called and he was able to unlock their ankles. The Fire Department assisted in removing the superglue from their hands. One suspect was able to be freed from the chain around his waist. The 7 others were transported to the police station chained together. A key was brought to the Police Station at 6:05 PM to unlock the rest of the waist padlocks.

They were identified as Shea M. Riester, age 22 of 48 Brooksdale Rd. Brighton

Devyn Weis Powell?? age 20? 1260 Hideaway Ln. Lake Oswego Oregon

Benjamin L. Thompson age 22 20 Watson Rd. Durham NH

Benjamin J. Trolio age 22 35 Fruitwood Dr. Burnt Hills NY

Lisa Rose Purdy age 20 26 Fisk St. Waltham

Allison J. Welton? age 20 648 Highway 7 Tonasket Washington

Dorian S. Williams? age 20? 5301 S. University Ave. Chicago Il.

Emily Edgerly? age 20 6 Douglas Rd. Lexington MA

They will all be charged with disorderly person, disturbing the peace and trespassing. They will be arraigned in WDC on Tuesday morning.
