Hudson – Peter J. Stolk, 81, a longtime resident of Hudson, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth (Verbaas) Stolk of Hudson.
Peter was born and raised in the Netherlands, son of the late Peter and Maria (Root) Stolk. He resided in Worcester for a short time before moving to Hudson 50-plus years ago.
He was employed as an Optical Engineer for many years by ITEK Corporation in Lexington until his retirement in 1990.
Peter looked forward to his frequent trips back to the Netherlands with his wife to visit family and also enjoyed the many whale watching trips he shared with his daughter. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Marian Stolk of Hudson, and his extended family members, Wayne Dion and his wife Cheryl, along with their two children, Evelyn and Jacob, all of Westborough.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson.
