Pedestrian hit by tractor trailor on Route 290

Northborough – A pedestrian has been struck by a tractor trailer on Route 290 westbound near Northborough this morning, according to the Mass State Police.

The right and middle lanes are currently closed and expected to be for some time. There is no word yet on the injuries to the pedestrian or how the incident occurred.

The State Police also advise motorists to use caution as the roads are starting to ice up. The Mass. Pike near the Connecticut border is closed until the Conn. Department of Transportation can treat the roads.
