Shrewsbury High girls swim team happy with state meet results

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury High School (SHS) Swim and Dive team competed in the MIAA Division 1 girls state winter swimming and diving competition Feb. 16 at Springfield College. The SHS team finished 13th overall.

Courtney Mulcahy? is the team's head coach.

“This was a great meet for the girls.? All of the girls did best times and the 13th-place finish is just amazing with five girls.”

Equally impressive, she said, was the swim team's final record for the year, 8-3, a great improvement over last year's record of 3-8.

Qualifying for the meet were swimmers junior Meghan Kean, sophomore Samantha Du, freshmen? Erin Kean and Sarah Arsenault, and diver sophomore Hannah Murray.
