Hudson – Elizabeth M. “Bethy” Filipe, 38, of Hudson, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham Union Hospital. She is survived by her loving parents, Eugene R. and Theresa (MacLellan) Filipe of Hudson.

Bethy was born in Marlborough and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. She was employed at Papa Gino's Restaurant in Hudson for many years and was a member of the Greater Marlboro Programs, Inc. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

Bethy enjoyed several hobbies, including playing cribbage. She looked forward to spending time with her family, and her loving and caring spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her nine siblings, Joan Filipe of Worcester, Mary Mathews of Hudson, Lorraine Plummer and her husband Dan of North Carolina, Cathy Ricci and her husband Paul of Texas, Bernadette Keefe and her husband Al of Maine, Ellen MacGilvray and her husband Richard of Hudson, Virgina Benson and her husband David of North Carolina, Daniel Filipe and his wife Karen of Texas, and Ruth Matthews and her husband Glen of Leominster. She was the sister of the late Linda Filipe, who died in 1984, and is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 20, at 9:00 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Tuesday, March 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to The Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, 112 Main St., Hopkinton, MA 01748.
