Two Howard Memorial Scholarships to be granted this spring

Education -icon-for-website[1]Westborough – The late John Patrick Howard, a Westborough resident for more than two decades, had an avid interest in American history.? The father of three was also a committed public servant, volunteering hundreds of hours on the renovation, expansion and building of the town's schools.

To honor Howard's legacy, Westborough High School (WHS) seniors are invited to apply for two $1,000 scholarships to be given in his name.

The application:? A 350-word essay on how the Bill of Rights has affected you personally.? Focus on one element of one of the 10 amendments.

Essays should be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 point and double-spaced.

The student's name, telephone number, e-mail address and home address should be included on a cover sheet, paper-clipped to the front of the essay. The student's name should not be put on the essay pages since the essays will be evaluated anonymously.
