Police 2Worcester – Attorney General Martha Coakley's office has released the following statement this morning:

A Southborough man has been indicted for allegedly possessing and disseminating child pornography, Attorney General Martha Coakley's Office announced today.

Daniel Goichman, 50, was indicted by a Worcester County Grand Jury yesterday on charges of Possession of Child Pornography (3 counts) and Dissemination of Child Pornography (6 counts).

Massachusetts State Police assigned to the AG's Office obtained information indicating that a registered sex offender was allegedly soliciting minors over the Internet. State Police officers executed a search warrant in September 2012 at Goichman's residence in Southborough and seized evidence they suspected contained images of child pornography. Investigators discovered that Goichman allegedly possessed images of child pornography. In October 2012,

Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Attorney General's Office, with assistance from the Southborough Police Department, arrested Goichman at his residence in Southborough. Further investigation of the evidence seized indicated that Goichman was allegedly distributing child pornography to others over the Internet.

Goichman was arrested and arraigned in Westborough District Court in October 2012. He was indicted yesterday by a Worcester County Grand Jury and is due back in Worcester Superior Court to be arraigned at a later date.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Timothy Wyse of Attorney General Coakley's Cyber Crime Division.
