Northborough – The defending Central Massachusetts champions and state finalist Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks hosted the Massachusetts Division 2 state champion Medfield High School Warriors on April 16 in Northborough.

The Warriors’ Lauren Tschirch put them on the board first but the Tomahawks’ Hannah Lindgren answered a short time later. ?The Warriors continued to build their lead and the Tomahawks made it close at the half, with Medfield leading 4-3. ?In the second half a goal by Algonquin's Jackie Healy made it even at 5 each. The two teams played it close but in the end the Warriors drew away and handed the Tomahawks their second loss in a row, 9-6.
