Shrewsbury- The summer schedule for the Dean Park musical dancing fountains begins Friday, May 17. The fountains will run Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9:45 p.m.
Listen to the classical, patriotic, and popular tunes, while watching the movement of the graceful fountains and the spectacular colors dancing to the music. The colored lights can be seen at dusk. Music to accompany the fountains can be heard on 91.7 FM on car or portable radios.
In addition, on July 1, 3, and 5, Dean Park will host a tribute to the Armed Forces. At 9 p.m. each night, the fountains will dance with colored lights to patriotic music.
The fountains were a gift of Barbara Donahue and family in memory of her husband, Irving James Donahue Jr., to Shrewsbury residents in 2004.
