Obit Angela BuskyShrewsbury – Angela B. (Sarapas) Busky, a longtime Shrewsbury resident, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Busky, who died in 1990.

Angela leaves her three children, Charles J. Busky and his wife Vicki of Sterling, Michael R. Busky and his wife Laura of Berlin, and Karla A. Busky and her companion Mark R. Larson of Worcester; her sister, Alfreda F. Kelley of Barre; two grandchildren, Kristina L. Jones and her husband Michael and Katherine L. Hunt and her husband Spec. Shane M. Hunt; her three great-grandchildren, Meghann L. Jones, Alison S. Jones, and Lauren Angela Jones; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Leonard and Richard J. Sarapas.

Angela was born in Worcester, daughter of the late B. Richard and Barbara A. (Morkus) Sarapas. She graduated from Ascension High School, Worcester Boys Trade, and later attended WPI, furthering her studies as a drafts person.

During World War II, Angela worked on the B-29 Fortress designs while working at Wyman-Gordon Company from 1942-1948. She later worked in the same capacity for Worcester Envelope Company.

She was a longtime volunteer for the Refugee Apostolate in Worcester and for the former Central Massachusetts VNA Hospice Program, a group that assisted her husband as well as herself and the family during his final days. She also volunteered for the RSVP program at the Shrewsbury. She was also a member of the Shrewsbury Woman's Club, the Knights of Lithuania and enjoyed spending time at the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

A faith-filled woman, Angela was a longtime member of Saint Mary's Parish and its Jet Set group. She loved the area sport teams, but the Boston Red Sox were her passion, rarely missing a game.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Angela's family Friday, May 31, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, June 1, at 9 a.m., and then proceed to Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., followed by burial with her husband at Mountain View Cemetery.
