Worcester – The third-seeded Marlborough High School Panthers faced the fifth-seeded Shepherd Regional High School Rams for the Massachusetts Softball Central Division 1 final June 8 at Rockwood Field on the main campus of Worcester State University.

After Shepherd Hill failed to score in their part of the first inning, Marlborough scored one run as Victoria Petrie drove in Marissa Flynn.? The Rams scored one run in the second and the Panthers added two runs in their part of the second.? In the third inning, the Panthers’ Victoria Falco opened it up with the first of her two home runs and the Panthers put two on the board.

Falco's second home run came in the fifth, and while Shepherd Hill scored two runs in the sixth, it wasn’t enough as Marlborough won 10-3 to clinch the title.
