Westborough police investigating two break-ins

W police carWestborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon issued this statement this morning:

The Westborough Police Department is investigating two breaks into residences yesterday. The first one occurred at 3:48 AM at the Park Village West Apartments on E. Main St. The resident observed a suspect attempting to open her sliding glass basement level window. He was scared away by the resident.

The second break occurred on Arch St. between the hours of 7:15 AM and 5:00 PM. The resident found a side door kicked in. The inside of the house was ransacked. A safe containing personal papers was stolen along with a sizeable amount of jewelry.

These two breaks do not appear to be connected and there are no suspects at this time. Anyone who might have information should contact the Westborough Police Detective Division at 508-366-3060.
