New England Storm wins 10 U wins championship

NE storm croppedShrewsbury – The New England Storm 10 U team resoundingly won its New England Baseball championship game, 16-4, against the previously undefeated Lakeville (MA) Cardinals in Warwick, R.I. ?June 16.

The Storm started practicing last November at the Baseball Academy in Shrewsbury. They entered the 2013 New England Amateur Athletic Union 10 U Open Division baseball season with 38 other teams from around New England.? The team was undefeated in the regular season and entered the playoffs competing against 16 other teams.

Players include: Ryan Cayton, Brady Coghlin, Damon Fuller, Andrew Hartelius, Kyle Lusignan, Jake MacIsaac, JP McCarthy, TJ Morgera, Tyler Nagi, Chris Nerkowski, TJ Power, Angelo Ritacco and Connor Schmautz. (Players are from Shrewsbury and Westborough.)

Coaches include: Head Coach Darrin Schmautz and assistant coaches Mike Morgera, Brian Lusignan, Tom Power and Andy MacIsaac.
