Southborough Recreation collecting shoes and socks for Guatemalan children

kids shoesSouthborough – Southborough Recreation is collecting socks and shoes to send to poor children in Guatemala. Donations of new children's socks and new or gently used shoes or sneakers can be dropped off at the Woodward School, 28 Cordaville Road, the Finn School, 60 Richards Road, or Southborough Recreation, 21 Highland St, by Tuesday, June 25.

Organizers ask that shoes be appropriate for the warm Guatemalan climate and that the soles are clean. Flip flops, Crocs, or winter shoes will not be accepted. The items will be transported in suitcases by volunteers with the “Give & Teach” program. Donations of suitcases are also appreciated.
