Westborough – Jeannette (Gregson) Porter, 92, formerly of Westborough, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. Jeannette's husband of 40 years, William T. Porter, passed away in 1986.
She leaves her beloved children, William T. Porter Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Charlton, Linda J. Snyder of W. Harwich, Joanne F. Porter of Orleans and Laurie E. Foley and her husband Thomas of Charlton; 10 grandchildren, Andrew, Wade, Spenser, Clayton and Billie Porter, Leigh Peters, Emily Gray, and Daniel, William, and Jonathan Foley; one great-granddaughter, Allie Peters; and many nieces and nephews. Jeannette's four sisters, Dorothy, Lorette, Ruth, and Gertrude, predeceased her.
Jeannette was born in Worcester, the daughter of Stanley F. and A. Marie (DuBois) Gregson. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cribbage, and, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care for the kind and gentle care given to their mother during her stay there.
A visiting hour will be held Tuesday, July 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park of Paxton.
