Marlborough police hold 5K for K-9s

Marlborough large web iconMarlborough – The 10th annual Marlborough Police Department 5K Police Chase will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, 67 Fitchburg St. The event, in memory of Sgt. William Kirby, will benefit the Marlborough Police Department K-9 unit. Following the race, there will be a cookout, live bands, and a raffle.?Registration is $15, and participants must register by Sept. 5, at midnight, at

The Marlborough Police Department was recently awarded a $25,000 grant by the Stanton Foundation that will help launch the city's first K-9 program. More information can be found at http://communityadvocate.com/2013/07/12/k-9-program-moves-forward/.
