Westborough police warn of ‘traveling criminals’

W police carWestborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this afternoon:

The Westborough Police Department is warning all residents to be aware that a group of traveling criminals has been targeting residences in town. Last week, they were going door to door claiming they had extra driveway sealant and offered to seal a resident's driveway at a lower price. After starting the job they claimed they ran out of the sealant demanding more money to finish the job. They were operating a blue 2011 Chev. Pickup truck registered out of Dudley.

All residents are warned that door to door solicitors must be licensed by the Police Department. If the solicitor does not have a town issued permit, please call the Police Department.
