Obit  Jeannette T. BeaucheminShrewsbury – Jeannette T. (Perreault) Beauchemin, 84, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 with her family at her side.

She leaves her husband of 63 years, Norman, and their children, Paul and his wife Jenny of E. Aurora, N.Y., Richard and his wife Patricia of Weddington, N.C., David Sr. of West Deptford, N.J., Michael and his wife Amy, of Weddington, N.C., John and his wife Patrice of Fairfax Station, Va., Julie of Groton, and Robert and his wife Ann Marie of Shrewsbury; 14 grandchildren, Megan Boyle, David Jr., Zachary, Nicholas, Emily, Keegan, Eric, Ellen, Andrew, Rene, Laura, Gabrielle, Mireille, and Erin; two great-grandchildren, Cambria and Liam Boyle; and her sisters, Pauline Penhallow of Spencer and Carol Diguette of Millbury. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Mark, who passed away in 2001.

Jeannette was born in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Louise (Terroy) Perreault. She was educated at Ascension High School.

Jeannette was passionate about her work as a secretary at the Calvary Retreat Center in Shrewsbury. She was there for 18 years prior to retiring in 1992. She was a faithful communicant, and an active member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury.

She loved dancing with her husband, baking delicious treats, playing a fierce game of cards, Topsail Island, and knitting. Paramount of all was her love for her family. She was happiest being with them and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her hospitality knew no bounds and all were welcome in her home. Jeannette had an incredible strength that constantly defied the odds. Her strong will to live inspired us all.

The family is eternally grateful for the care that she has received from the doctors, nurses, and caregivers, especially Adessa, who has become part of the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours held Sunday, Aug. 25, frp, 3 – 6 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St. Her funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 26, on what would have been Jeannette and Norman's 63rd wedding anniversary, with a Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
