Region – Bill McCarthy worked for almost ten years with Tufts Health Plan and as an independent broker starting his own venture,?Coastal Benefits.?In July 2007, at just 35 years old, Bill began a grueling two-year battle with?stage 4 brain cancer, which he ultimately lost.?Today his wife,?three children and his business continue without him.
The first Bill McCarthy Memorial Golf Tournament was held in October 2011 and hosted over 160 golfers and 200+ post-golf barbeque guests.?It was a day the McCarthy family will never forget.
This year on Friday, Oct. 18, Bill's birthday, Team McCarthy will be hosting their third annual event, The Bill McCarthy Memorial Golf Tournament.?The goals remain the same: to raise money for the McCarthy children's educational funds and to honor a man of great measure.
The event will be held at Stow Acres Country Club with a 10:30 a.m. Shot Gun Start and a 3:30 p.m. barbecue and awards ceremony.
Sponsorship levels include: $5,000 Executive Sponsor; $3,000 Barbeque Sponsor;$3,000 Lunch Sponsor; $2,500 Gold Sponsor; $1,000 Silver Sponsor; $1,500 Golf Cart Sponsor; $1,000 Silver Sponsor; $1,500 Golf Cart Sponsor; $500 Bronze Sponsor; $3,000 Lunch Sponsor; $1,000 Hole in One Sponsor and $500 Bronze Sponsor.
There are also opportunties for Hole Sponsors where individual messages may be printed on signs on the course – those are $100 each.
The cost to participate is iIndividual Golfers, $150 and foursomes, $600; Barbecue tickets only $35, adult/$15 child.
