Runners spook Boroughs YMCA

W EDITED WEB runners spook boroughs YMCAWestborough – Over 130 participants, some in costume, start the second annual Spooktacular 5K Run/Walk held Oct. 19, beginning and ending at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA.

John O’Connell (#112), a Westborough High School freshman and cross country team member, finished first overall in 19:49. His mother, Karen Yeowell, and grandmother, Heather Yeowell, each placed first in their age categories. The first-place female was Amanda Watters of Ashland finishing in 20:48.

Proceeds go to the YMCA Annual Fund Campaign. Avidia Bank was the major corporate sponsor of the race, which was followed by a kids’ fun run and a Halloween party.
