She grew up in Worcester, and in 1945 married the man who became her husband for the next 43 years, Alden B. Simone. Together they settled the Villa Road section of Shrewsbury to raise their family. She lived more than 65 years in Shrewsbury.

Mary's husband, Alden, passed away in 1988, and her son, Carl A. Simone, passed away in 2006. She loved a good time, to travel, play bingo, and the many senior bus trips. She cherished her Italian heritage and passed it on to her children and grandchildren. Special occasions, holidays and just having her family together is what made her the happiest.
