Obit Mary Anne KingMarlborough – Mary Anne (Benedetto) King, 74 of Marlborough, died on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Grace (DeMalia) Benedetto and the wife of the late Atty. William A. King Jr., who died in 2006. She was a 1953 graduate of the Immaculate Conception School, Marlborough, and a 1957 graduate of St. Michael's Academy, Hudson.

Mrs. King had been employed by the city of Marlborough as a secretary at Marlborough High School.

She was a member of the former of St. Ann's Church, the Holy Rosary Sodality, and the Sons of Italy. Her life, like her mother's, was devoted to her family and friends who knew her as mother, sister, nonnie, and auntie. She enjoyed spending time with her family, for the past 40 years, every summer and fall in North Conway, N.H.

She is survived by her children, William A. (BJ) King, III and his wife Tracey of Northborough, Christopher King and his wife Roberta, and Cynthia Jolley and her husband Edward, both of Marlborough; her brothers, John Benedetto and his wife Sue of Northborough and Paul Benedetto and his wife Judy of Marlborough; her grandchildren, Krisanne DeVries, Jon DeVries, Brett Jolley, Abygail, Isabella, Sophia, Christopher Jr., Rose, and Anthony King; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street in Marlborough.
