Worcester man killed in Shrewsbury car accident

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Police Department released this statement this afternoon:

Police-1On Tuesday, November 26th 2013 at 10:05 p.m. Shrewsbury Police responded to Main St. for a one car motor vehicle accident. Police found the vehicle had been travelling East on Main St. when it crossed over the West bound lane and then continued off the roadway and collided with a tree. The crash occurred on Main St. just below St. John's High School. Shrewsbury Fire Department and U-Mass EMS were also on scene to assist. The vehicle's operator and only occupant was transported to University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased was identified as Jonathan C. Ball of Worcester, Ma.-23 years of age. The accident remains under investigation by Shrewsbury Officer Michael A. Vitols and Shrewsbury Police Accident Reconstructionist, Sgt. Michael A. O”Connor.
