Region – Marlborough Savings Bank recently donated $1,200 to the NICView Camera program, a joint venture between District 7910 Rotary Clubs and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the UMassMemorial Healthcare, directed by Dr. Alan Picarillo.
Thanks to new video and computer technologies,? NICview cameras allow parents and loved ones to view their newborn remotely, 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world through a secured internet connection. To date, NICView cameras have been viewed from over 30 countries around the world.
“We'se so pleased to have purchased a NICView camera for the program. The reality of being separated from your newborn must be heart-wrenching but at least the camera provides some comfort during such a challenging time,” said Rick Bennett, president and CEO of Marlborough Savings Bank and long-time member of the Marlborough Rotary.
For more information on how you or your organization can also sponsor a NICView camera, please contact Roy Balfour, Rotarian at 508-842-0523 or [email protected].
