Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this afternoon:

On 2/12/14, at approximately 7:10 AM, Officer Chris Atchue stopped a 2009 Honda on Rte. 9 W at Not Your Average Joes. The owner of the vehicle was unlicensed according to the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Levino Docarmo Santos age 25 of 126 Beaver St. Framingham. A check with the Registry showed this individual as being unlicensed. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Westborough Police station.

At the station he was booked and fingerprinted. A short time later the Westborough Police were notified that this suspect was not Mr. Santos. He was actually Cristiano Ribeiro Demoura age 27 of Framingham. He is wanted by Immigration and Custom Enforcement since he was previously ordered to be deported. He was charged with operating after suspension of his right to operate, illegal possession of a chemical propellant (pepper spray), false name to a Police Officer and being a fugitive from justice. He was arraigned in WDC today.
