Southborough police log, Feb. 21 edition

Friday, Feb. 7

5:17 a.m. Officers investigated a motor vehicle vs. deer accident on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and the deer had to be put down by the responding officer.

6:03 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Newton Street residence.

9:01 a.m. Officers responded to a Mt. Vickery Road residence to investigate a complaint of harassing phone calls.

9:09 a.m. An officer responded with the Fire Department to investigate a fire alarm at a Cordaville Road business.

10:50 a.m. An officer took a report of a Hit & Run accident that had occurred on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported.

4:08 p.m. Officers assisted Ashland Police with a three car, motor vehicle accident on Oregon Road. The accident occurred in Ashland (at the town line), and injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

10:18 p.m. A medical was reported at an Aspenwood Lane residence.

Saturday, Feb. 8

1:04 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.

1:38 a.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Presidential Drive. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

2:43 a.m. An officer on patrol called in a suspicious person at a Turnpike Road business. The individual checked out ok.

4:37 a.m. Officers assisted a disabled truck on John Street.

6:08 a.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Parkerville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

8:10 a.m. Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

10:22 a.m. Officers investigated a suspicious motor vehicle on Fisher Road.

10:37 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Pine Hill Road residence.

10:56 a.m. Officers assisted a General Henry Knox Road resident with a lock-out.

11:08 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Southwood Drive residence.

6:03 p.m. An officer assisted a Ted Lane resident with a possible Restraining Order violation.

6:11 p.m. Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of an erratic driver in the area. The vehicle and operator were located, and both checked out ok.

6:20 p.m. Officers investigated a second complaint of an erratic operator on Turnpike Road. The responding officers reported back negative findings.

8:01 p.m. A medical was reported at a William Onthank Lane residence.

Sunday, Feb. 9

7:43 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street business.

1:13 p.m. A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road business.

10:08 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a female party walking down Boston Road. The female was located and checked out ok. She was provided with a civilian transport into Marlborough.

10:25 p.m. DPW was called out to treat the roadways.

Monday, Feb. 10

1:37 a.m. A medical was reported at a Blackthorn Drive residence.

8:15 a.m. An officer responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of a suspicious person walking on Turnpike Road. The responding officer reported back a negative finding.

8:19 a.m. Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

8:27 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.

9:08 a.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Sears Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

1012 a.m. An officer assisted a Willow Street business employee with obtaining a Harassment Prevention Order.

11:21 a.m. An officer assisted a Marlboro Road resident with a Harassment complaint.

2:10 p.m. A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.

3:42 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a St. Martin Drive business.

4:44 p.m. An officer assisted a resident with a civil matter at the police station.

4:54 p.m. Arrested, Paul Maguire of Latisquama Road, Southborough. Mr. Maguire was arrested after he was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Marlborough District Court.

5:42 p.m. Arrested, Helio Silva of North Street, Douglas. Mr. Silva was charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense). Mr. Silva was also issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana.

9:29 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Wentworth Drive residence.

The information from the police log is obtained directly from the official records maintained at each police station in our circulation area. It contains arrests and samplings of police activity. Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty. The Community Advocate will publish news of acquittals upon notification and a copy of court-issued documentation.
