Westborough – The Westborough High School Rangers faced the Wachusett Regional High School Mountaineers for a Central Division 3 semi-final playoff game at the NorthStar Ice Sports facility on Mar. 1.

The Mountaineers’ Marc Happy scored the first of his three goals (assisted by Jack Watkins) for the sole tally of the first period.

In the second period, the Rangers’ Brian Bernard tied the game on an unassisted goal but the Mountaineers’ Jake Van Reet put one in (assisted by Robbie Roche) late in the period for a 2-1 Wachusett lead after two.

In the third period Happy scored his second goal (assisted by Connor Bernard and Joe Rinaldo) and then got his third goal, unassisted, for the Wachusett 4-1 win.
