Westborough – Aida C. Raposa, 95, of Westborough, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur S. Raposa.

Born in Pawtucket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosa (Pina) Costa. She was educated in Pawtucket schools and attended secretarial school. She had been a resident of Westborough for over five years, previously living in Quinebaug, Conn.

Aida was employed as a private secretary at Crescent Company in Pawtucket prior to her retirement.

She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1088, the Thompson, Conn. Senior Center, and the Portuguese Social Club, and was a former director of a Dramatic Group for Children. She also played the violin and piano, and enjoyed singing.

Aida is survived by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Richardson of Westborough, and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19, at 9 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Luke's Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St.
