Shrewsbury – Coming off of a strong fifth-place finish at the Central/South Sectional meet at Wellesley College, the Shrewsbury High School girls” swim and dive team was the top central Mass team, placing 10th at the Division 1 state finals at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Feb. 15. The team finished the year strong with an impressive meet where all four swimmers and one diver were able to earn points in sectional and state meets.

“This was a special two weeks for the girls,” Coach Courtney Mulcahy said. “It was truly a team effort. Each of the girls did personal best times and dives when it mattered. Tenth place at this meet with only five girls is truly amazing.”

Qualifying for the meets were swimmers senior Captain Meghan Kean, junior Samantha Du, sophomores Erin Kean and Sarah Arsenault, and junior diver Hannah Murray.
