Westborough – The Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation awarded the YWCA Westborough Child Care Center a $4,500 grant to purchase and install a playground structure.
“From just one visit, we could see what an impact the additional playground structure will have on the children and are so pleased we could help,” Ellen Dorian, Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation secretary, said.
The YWCA Westborough Child Care Center provides early education and care for families with infants, toddlers and pre-school age children from area communities. Since opening its doors in the early 1970s, thousands of children have passed through its doors to be cared for, nurtured and readied for kindergarten.
